On the sidelines of the 15th Arab Steel Summit, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Arab Iron and Steel Union No. 125 was held on November 7th. The first conference of the federation after recovering from the effects of the Corona pandemic. His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, thanked him for sponsoring the conference.

The Secretary General of the Federation, Dr. Kamel Djoudi, presented the estimated budget for the year 2023 and reviewed the activities of the Federation between the two periods.
The meeting discussed the economic conditions and the international and Arab steel markets after the presentation of Mr. George Matta, Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Union, who reviewed the latest economic conditions of the Arab countries and steel consumption rates that were studied at the fifth meeting of the Economic Committee in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Council has adopted a set of decisions, including holding the General Assembly and the Board of Directors in Dubai – United Arab Emirates and the 16th Arab Steel Summit in Dubai during October 2023.
