Conaris, the second largest private sector steel producer in the UAE, has announced its coloured steel products factory official opening in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in Dubai. The new and modern facilities, which were developed with a 150 million-dirham investment within the Conaris facilities in the south of Jafza, extend over an area of more than 100,000 square metres.
The facility was inaugurated by Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, in the presence of Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of the DB World Group, and Abdullah Bin Damithan, Executive Director and General Manager of DB World – UAE Qafza, and Bharat Bhatia, Chairman and CEO of Conaris. Along with several prominent personalities and senior executives in the company.
It is noteworthy that «Conaris» is the only steel manufacturer within the private sector in the United Arab Emirates, which includes in its portfolio four distinct categories of products. The current value of the company’s assets is estimated at 2.5 billion dirhams, while its products are exported to 26 countries across the six continents of the world.

Bharat Bhatia said, “We are proud to launch our new coloured steel facility, which is the latest of its kind in the steel industry in the region. With the opening of this new facility, we expect our revenues to increase gradually from 10% to 15%, compared to what we achieved last year. We also aim to increase our steel production by 5 to 7% this year.”

The production capacity of the coloured steel production plant is 100,000 tons of coloured galvanized iron coils, strips, and sheets annually to meet the growing demand in the UAE and the region as a whole, in addition to manufacturing products for export to several global markets.
Conaris provides a wide range of products, including reinforcing bars, pipes, and pre-painted steel coils. The company is recording remarkable growth and presence in the global markets while continuing its development to keep pace with the demand in the region. The company’s vision is to increase its production capacity to three million tonnes by 2030, which is in line with its strategy to develop its export markets.
The new factory will produce coloured coils with a thickness ranging from 0.18 to 9 mm. The facility is equipped with advanced sustainable technology allowing for reduced levels of carbon emissions. It is worth noting that the company «Conaris» holds a certificate of sustainable reinforcing steel from the British institution «CARES» for our production, which conforms to the terms, standards and standards set by the institution globally. The company has a well-established presence in the global markets and is currently seeking to discover new markets for its products.
