Turkey’s HRC flats imports decreased by 20.8% in the period January-November 2022

In November last year, Turkey’s imports of hot-rolled (HRC) steel flats decreased by 61.6% year-on-year to 161,977 tonnes, down 30.0% compared to October.

Revenues from these imports amounted to $111.19 million, declining by 25.2% monthly and 71.6% compared to the same month in 2021.

From January to November, Turkey’s imports of hot-rolled steel (HRC) flats decreased by 20.8%, down 20.8% year-on-year, while the total revenue generated by these imports reached $3.11 billion, down 17.9% compared to the same period in 2021.

In the specified period, Russia ranked first among Turkey’s exports to Turkey amounting to 1.1 million tonnes, down 40.7% year on year, followed by India, which shipped 569,223 tonnes.
