Dubai Customs Department extended the work to raise the customs duties it imposed on reinforcing steel and steel coils from 5% to 10% until November 7, 2023. The department increased its customs duties on rebar steel and steel coils as of January 17, 2019, as it increased the percentage of fee tariffs from 5% to 10%.
The items included in the decision are as follows:
Materials that contain serrations, ribs, grooves, or other formations resulting during the grinding process. Other materials of easy-to-cut steel, materials with a circular cross-section with a diameter of less than 14 mm.
Materials with a circular cross-section with a diameter of less than 10 mm, with a circular cross-section from 10 mm to 32 mm.
Materials containing serrations, ribs, grooves, or other formations produced during the grinding process or with twists after grinding, with a circular cross-section from 10 mm to 32 mm. Other plain steel cutting, including circular cross-sections less than 10 mm, as well as from 10 mm to 32 mm.
