The General Company for Iron and Steel, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals formations in Basra Governorate in Iraq, announced the commencement of the installation work for the steel plant equipment and its engineering services.
Abbas Hayal, the Company general manager, said in a statement that the Company has begun the process of installing steel plant equipment and its engineering services, as the installation of the first bridge cranes of 25 tonnes was completed out of eight new cranes with capacities ranging from 16 to 125 tonnes.
Notably, the General Company for Iron and Steel contracted with the Bin Majid State Company to install steel plant equipment and its engineering services within ten months to produce 500 thousand tonnes of rebar steel annually.
