China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that the average total daily raw steel production of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China in mid-April (11-20) of this year amounted to 2.2898 million tonnes, down by 1.38% compared to early April (1-10) from this year.

In early April this year, the average daily raw steel production of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China reached 2.322 million tonnes, up 2.71% from the end of March. (21-31)

Stock levels in China’s steel market rose as of April 20, and the final steel stock of large and medium-sized steel companies in China reached 18.541 million tonnes, up by 1.21% from April 10.

As of April 20, rebar futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange were at 3,914 Yuan/t ($569/t), up 7 Yuan/t ($1/t) or 0.18 per cent since April 10.
