Three power transformers for the rehabilitation of State Company for Iron and Steel in Basra
State Company for Iron and Steel in Basra announced the arrival of three huge transformers to the project of qualifying the steel and rolling plants and their engineering services.
The general manager of the company, Abbas Hayyal, told the Iraqi National Agency (NINA) that the three transformers that arrived at the rolling project “the first capacity is 125 MVA and two transformers each have a capacity of 63 MVA.”
He pointed out that the total capacity of the three old transformers that were previously operating was 25 MVA.

State Company for Iron and Steel has contracted with the Turkish company Ubi Holdink to qualify the steel and rolling factories and their engineering services to produce 500,000 tons of rebar in the largest government industrial project that will contribute to the reconstruction of the country.
