The Saudi Ministry of Commerce said it had issued 17 licenses to export steel from the beginning of this year until the end of April (4 months).
The ministry stated the total number of licenses issued since the steel export allowance amounted to 189, according to Al Eqtisadiah newspaper.
The ministry pointed out that the license issued number increase is the steel export requests growth indication and hence the upsurge in the companies’ number wishing to obtain them.
According to the available data, the granting licenses process takes place after fulfilling the specific conditions and requirements under the organizational controls of the ministerial committee composed of the ministries of commerce, investment, finance, energy, industry and mineral wealth, environment, water and agriculture.
