As announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), from January to April this year, the value-added industrial output of China’s ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector registered a 5.5 per cent year-on-year rise. 0.4 percentage points slower than the increase in the first three months of this year.
In April alone, the value-added industrial output of the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector indicated a monthly increase of 4.3 per cent, 1.7 percentage points slower than in March.
In the first four months, China’s total value-added industrial output rose 3.6 per cent year-on-year. In April alone, total value-added industrial output increased by 5.6 per cent year-on-year while it decreased by 0.47 per cent month-on-month.
In April this year, among China’s 41 industrial sectors, 25 witnessed annual increases in value-added industrial output.
In April, output in the mining and manufacturing sectors remained stable and increased by 6.5 per cent year-on-year, respectively. SteelOrbis
