US President Donald Trump said he will impose additional customs duties of 25% on his country’s imports of steel and aluminum from all countries of the world.
Trump said in press statements aboard the presidential helicopter yesterday, Sunday, that the new duties will be applied in addition to the existing tariff on metal imports, according to Reuters.
He explained that he also intends to impose reciprocal duties on all countries that apply customs duties on their imports from America, and to the same extent, and this measure will be announced by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, to take effect immediately.
He added: It is very simple, if countries impose customs duties on us, we will target them in kind.
