Mr. Mahmoud El-Feki, managing director of Delta Steel, confirmed that the company is achieving profits for the first time in 10 years during the current fiscal year, and the net profit is expected to reach 30 million pounds, after the implementation of the first stage of development.
Al-Feki added that the profits targeted in the new budget amount to 80 million pounds, and during the last period the incentives for workers have been increased.
He said: We have an ideal number of workers, with a total of 720 workers, and we will need new manpower in the coming period. We have already requested the appointment of 281 workers in a number of specialties, most notably engineers and technicians.
He explained that with the application of the 3-RADI work system, salaries were increased between 25-30%, and the monthly incentive for workers was raised and linked to production because its increase is dependent on the quantity produced per month, and the more production, the greater the incentive.
Meanwhile, Eng. Essam Erian, head of the company’s factories sectors, explained that the foundry workers produce products for connecting train cars and railway brakes in addition to the casting basins of the Kima Aswan company.
Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of the Public Business Sector confirmed that this project, which began implementation in 2019, aims to increase the production capacity 10 times, and to rehabilitate and develop furnaces with a production capacity of 500 thousand tons per year, up from 50 thousand tons per year, which is the total original design capacity, in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of market.
