Ezz Steel is the largest steel producer in the Arab region as per worldsteel’s Top Steel Makers List For 2020 which has just been published. With 4.6 million tons in output, Ezz Steel is the leading Arab steel producer, followed by Hadeed in KSA at 4.5 million tons, Emirates Steel at 2.7 million tons and Qatar Steel at 1.2 million tons. Ezz Steel and Hadeed have been alternating the largest producer’s position over the last few years.
In 2020 Ezz Steel reclaimed its top rank in the region despite the unfavorable market conditions.
Ezz Steel is also the largest steel maker on the African continent followed by ArcelorMittal South Africa with output amounting to 2.2 million tons.
Ezz Steel has 7 million tons of crude capacity, including 1.6 million tons under construction intended to increase flat steel output. The Group operates 4 production units located in Alexandria, Sadat city, Sokhna and 10th of Ramadan city and employs 8000 of highly trained workforce.
