Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed) was established in 1979 and is wholly owned by SABIC. producing skewers , reinforcing bars , wire coils , steel sections and steel flats. limestone , iron ore , scrap and natural gas ores are used for feeding . in 2000.

Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed) started production of steel flats , and has witnessed a new expansion , increasing its production capacity of long and flat steel products to more than 6 million tons annually.
