Emirates Steel reduces rebar prices for September delivery

Emirates Steel announced a reduction in the prices of rebar for September delivery in support of the construction sector and to ensure its sustainability.

This came during the company’s participation in the “Big Five” exhibition, which was launched at the Dubai World Trade Center and will continue until September 15.

Emirates Steel invited customers, developers and those interested in the construction sector to visit its interactive platform at the exhibition, which offers virtual tours inside the company’s factories, to see everything new, and discuss the current situation of the regional construction market, with the aim of understanding customer requirements more comprehensively, and identifying industry trends. future.

Emirates Steel stated, in a statement, that it sheds light, during its participation in the event, on the latest developments in the iron and steel industry in the country, the company’s diverse and new products group, its future plans, and its facilities supporting the construction sector, and the company’s achievements in terms of operational excellence and competitiveness, in addition to The company’s role in supporting national efforts to diversify the structure of the economy, and to promote a sustainable economy model based on knowledge and innovation.

The company’s CEO, Eng. Saeed Ghamran Al-Rumaithi, said, “The construction sector is the largest sector that contributes to the consumption of steel products by up to 92%, and accordingly, the developments of this strategic sector determine in advance the future directions of the steel markets.”

He added, “With such importance that the construction sector occupies in our industry, our participation in the (Big Five) exhibition gains double importance, based on our leading position as the only and largest integrated iron and steel manufacturer in the UAE.”

Al Rumaithi explained that “(Emirates Steel) contributes significantly to supporting the construction sector in the country, by providing reliable and sustainable supplies of iron products, maintaining the balance of the local market, and providing the best prices for rebar, as we reduced the prices of rebar (8-32). mm) by 348 dirhams per ton for September delivery, to 2,610 dirhams, compared to 2,956 dirhams for August delivery.

He pointed out that “due to the efforts made by the company, the prices of rebar in the UAE are among the lowest at the regional and global levels.”
