Egypt’s exports of pipes increased by 11% to reach $5 million in January to August 2021, compared to $4 million in the same period last year.
A report from the Export Council for Building Materials said that exports to Turkey from the pipe sector rose by 69% to $1.6 million, compared to only $980,000 last year, and exports to Tunisia rose 73% to $500,000 compared to $289,000.
Pipes exports to Italy amounted to $405,000 in January to August 2021, compared to $166,000 in the same period last year. Exports to Saudi Arabia also recorded a significant increase, reaching $360,000, compared to $56,000.
