- Company Info: Qatar Iron and Steel Company (Qatar Steel) was established in 1974 as the first integrated iron and steel plant in the Arabian Gulf region, as it commenced its commercial activities in 1978 AD. Qatar Steel owns an integrated plant in the State of Qatar and a re-rolling unit in the United Arab Emirates (a subsidiary company owned by Qatar Steel 100%). Qatar Steel produces: Raw materials (Direct Reducing Iron - Thermal Cast Iron), semi-finished products (steel slabs), and finished products (rebar and wire rod).
