Best Three Scientific Research Awards in Iron and Steel Industry 2025
Awards to be presented during the 18th Arab Steel Summit

- Introduction :
After the success of the first experience in organizing the competition for the best three scientific researches in the field of iron and steel for the year 2024, the Arab Iron and Steel Union continues to build bridges of cooperation between scientific research and Arab and international steel companies by organizing the competition for the second consecutive year.
The Union announces the opening of nominations for the best scientific research in the field of iron and steel for the year 2025 and invites all researchers from universities, institutes, research centers and specialists from iron and steel companies in Arab and international countries to submit scientific research that works to develop the iron and steel industry.
- Nomination conditions :
- The researcher must be registered at a university, research centre or iron and steel company.
- The research should be submitted individually or collectively, provided that in both cases it is accompanied by a letter of recommendation delivered by the institution with the seal and signature of the concerned and responsible authority.
- The group representative must have an authorisation from the other members.
- He/she must adhere to the research submission dates announced below (6).
- Research Fields :
The Arab Iron and Steel Union awards appreciation awards to researchers who present research that has an impact on the development and growth of the iron and steel industry in three areas:
- Technical Papers: In-depth studies on advancements in steel production, technology, or materials.
- Case Studies: Insights into practical applications or industrial challenges.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Recent innovations, drivers of change and sustainable development in the steel industry.
- Search Conditions:
- The research must be produced by the researcher during the period from 2022 to 2025 and the research has not previously received an award.
- The research must carry a new scientific addition and not be quoted or duplicated.
- The research must be feasible to study and apply and suitable for the available time and resources.
- Adherence to the fields specified above (2).
- The Federation has the right to publish the submitted research through its various platforms.
- All intellectual property rights remain the property of the researchers.
- Dates :
- 30 March 2025: Registration deadline.
- 01 April 2025 : Response with approval or rejection from the General Secretariat.
- 15 July 2025 : Deadline for submission of the final paper.
- 01 September 2025 : Announcement of the three winners on the website and send an email to the winners.
- 08 October 2025: Presentation of the three research papers by the winners during the 18th Arab Steel Summit 2025 in Muscat and awarding of awards.

A valuable prize will be awarded to the best paper in each topic as follows:
- First award : $5000
- Second award : $3000
- Third award : $2000

- 15 July 2025 : Deadline for submission of the final research.
