The “Applied Hydraulics in the Iron and Steel Industry” training program has been launched as part of a series of specialized training programs organized by the Arab Iron and Steel Union in cooperation with Ezz Steel. The program runs from 18 January to 29 January 2026, with the participation of a number of technical professionals from member companies of the Union.
This program comes within the framework of the Union’s plan to enhance the technical and technological capabilities of workers in the Arab iron and steel industry, through specialized training programs hosted at Ezz Steel plants in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The training program focuses on building a comprehensive knowledge base in industrial hydraulic systems, starting with the fundamental principles of hydraulics and physical relationships, then delving into system components such as various types of pumps, hydraulic motors, cylinders, and directional, pressure, and flow control valves, with detailed explanations of operating mechanisms and industrial applications relevant to the steel sector.
The program also combines theoretical lectures with practical applications and site visits to hydraulic workshops and plants, where participants are trained in analyzing and designing hydraulic circuits, working with proportional and servo valves, and electro-hydraulic systems, in addition to advanced topics such as hydraulic accumulators, oil filtration technologies, cooling systems, and protection systems.
The program concludes with applied case studies from production lines, ensuring a strong linkage between theoretical knowledge and direct practical application in the iron and steel industry.
