NMDC Energy, a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to offshore and onshore energy customers, announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi-based Al Gharbia Pipe Company to explore opportunities to accelerate steel pipe production within the UAE, in line with growing local and regional demand.

Al Gharbia Pipe Company is a leading global manufacturer of longitudinally submerged arc welded steel pipes, distinguished by its technological advancements and among the first manufacturers to adopt the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) applications in its operations.

This partnership is an extension of the “Make in the UAE” objectives aimed at driving industrial development in the country and represents a new model for effective integration between key players in the UAE’s industrial and energy sectors.

On this occasion, Engineer Ahmed Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of NMDC Energy, said: “As a leading company operating in strategic sectors, we are keen to explore synergistic opportunities that will develop practical solutions that meet the changing requirements of these vital industries.

Strengthening our partnership with Al Gharbia is an extension of this approach and part of our efforts to consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for the advanced steel pipe industry, serving the needs of the UAE and the wider region.

This collaboration reflects the advanced level achieved by national companies and also embodies the shared value that local expertise offers at the regional and international levels.”

By participating in the “Make in the Emirates” forum, NMDC Group and NMDC Energy are affirming their role as a catalyst for development in Abu Dhabi and the group’s work as a whole in strengthening the local economy.

The group will also announce several strategic partnerships and provide updates on its projects, particularly its international operations, where it operates in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Taiwan, and Vietnam, in addition to its operations in the UAE.
