As part of the state’s policy aimed at rehabilitating and utilizing confiscated industrial assets, the new production unit of the EPE ALFAPIPE SPA, a subsidiary of the National Iron and Steel Company (SNS), was inaugurated on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in the Battioua region of Oran Province.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. Saifi Ghrib, Minister of Industry, accompanied by Mr. Samir Chibani, Governor of Oran Province, and the President of the Provincial People’s Assembly, along with an official delegation from the Ministry of Industry and local authorities.
The official delegation was received by Mr. Tiglit Arezki, CEO of the company, accompanied by his administrative staff. A detailed presentation was given on the capabilities of the industrial unit, followed by a field visit to the production facilities, particularly those for coating and pipe manufacturing.
This unit has an annual production capacity of 360,000 tons of welded steel pipes. The internal and external coating unit has a capacity of 300 square meters per hour and currently employs 160 workers.
During his visit, the Minister emphasized the importance of integrating this facility into national infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy, irrigation, and seawater desalination sectors, while emphasizing the need for strict adherence to industrial safety and production quality standards.
The launch of this unit represents a new strategic phase for the Alphapipe Group and reflects its unwavering commitment to supporting national industrial sovereignty and contributing to the country’s economic growth.
