Qatar’s Official Gazette has published its first issue of the current year, including a package of Amiri decisions, decrees, and legislative amendments.
In this context, Amiri Decree No. (117) of 2025 was issued, providing for an increase in customs duties on rebar and Wire rod products.
Article (1) of the decree stipulates raising the customs duty rate on rebar and wire rod, including steel bars and rods, to 10% of the value of the goods, for a period of one year starting from the date of expiry of Amiri Decree No. (88) of 2024.
Article (2) of the decree affirms that all competent authorities, each within its respective jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this decree. The decree shall enter into force as of its date of issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette in accordance with applicable procedures.
