Steel prices in the fourth week of June 2026

Global steel and raw material prices witnessed relative stability across most products during the fourth week of June 2026, according to data obtained by Arab Iron and Steel Union. Scrap prices continued their slight decline, while iron ore and billet prices maintained relative stability in most markets. Meanwhile, finished steel products recorded limited fluctuations between increases and declines, amid ongoing caution in the global market and anticipation over demand developments in the coming period.

Scrap prices (HS1&2 mix 80:20) in the Turkish market recorded $387 per ton CFR ex-USA, down by $1 compared to the previous week, while Australian iron ore (62% Fe) remained stable at $99 per ton without any weekly change.

In the billet market, Russian prices remained stable at $480–485 per ton FOB, while billet prices in Turkey also held steady at $500–505 per ton CFR ex-CIS. On the other hand, Chinese billet prices declined noticeably to $460–470 per ton FOB, down by $8.

As for finished steel products, Turkish rebar prices declined to $580–595 per ton FOB, down by $5, while rebar prices from the CIS region increased to $550–560 per ton FOB, up by $8 compared to the previous week.

Meanwhile, Turkish wire rod prices remained stable at $590–600 per ton FOB without change. Russian hot rolled coil prices fell to $530–535 per ton FOB, down by $8, while Chinese cold rolled coil prices (1 mm thickness) declined to $555–560 per ton FOB, down by $5.

These movements reflect the continued pressure on global steel markets amid weaker demand in some key markets, alongside ongoing uncertainty regarding production trends and raw material prices in the coming period.
