Official data revealed that China’s production of iron ore in 2020 increased by 4.3% year on year.
China Iron and Steel Association stated that in 2020 crude steel production rose 5.2% year-on-year to exceed 1.05 billion tons, as China is one of the largest steel-producing countries around the world.
The association stated that iron ore production increased by 4.3% in 2020, to 887.52 million tons, compared to 2019.
It added that in December, crude steel production rose by 7.7% to 91.25 million tons, with daily production volume reaching more than 2.94 million tons and iron ore production increasing by 5.4% to 74.22 million tons.
