Egypt’s exports of iron and steel $306 million in 7 months

The Building Materials and Refractories Export Council announced that the value of Egypt’s exports of iron and steel in the first 7 months of 2020 to $ 306 million, compared to $ 461 million in the same period of 2019, a decrease of 34%.

The monthly report issued by the Council indicated that 10 countries “Saudi Arabia, Spain, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Sudan, Jordan, America, Yemen, Canada” acquired 80.1 % of the total iron and steel exports during that period with a value of $ 245.142 million, according to a news agency. Middle east.

Iron and steel exports decreased last July by 8.5 % to  $ 54 million, compared to $ 59 million in the same month of 2019.

Saudi Arabia ranked first, with 32.3 % of total steel exports, valued at $ 98.987 million, compared to $ 139.038 million, down 29 %.

Spain ranked second in the list of the 10 largest importers of Egyptian iron, with a value of 25.918 million dollars, compared to 20.72 million dollars, a growth of 25 %.
