Within the framework of the activities of the Arab Iron and Steel Union, the General Secretariat, in coordination with the Cairo Regional Office, organized a program of visits for the delegation of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company to a group of steel companies in the Arab Republic of Egypt within the framework of the objectives of the union to work on cooperation, acquaintance and exchange of experiences between the member steel companies and to get acquainted with the technologies applied in These factories during the period from June 30 to August 3.

During the period, the Ezz El-Dekheila Steel Company, El-Ashry Steel and the Delta Steel Company were visited, and were introduced to the manufacturing departments in the factories. Panel discussions were held on the stages of iron and steel manufacturing from various technologies, including furnaces, direct reduction, electric furnaces, casting stages, various rolling operations, and an exchange of views on how to overcome Problems and difficulties facing workers and ways of cooperation in the field of iron and steel industry.

The delegation visited the headquarters of the Arab Iron and Steel Union in Cairo and got acquainted with the various activities of the union, such as training, conferences and studies that serve the iron and steel sector in the Arab world.
