The Export Council of Building Materials revealed that Egypt’s iron and steel exports rose by 4% to $200 million from January to February 2022, compared to $192 million in the same period last year.
In its monthly report, the Council added that Spain received iron and steel products worth $49.303 million from January to February 2022, compared to $23.851 million, an increase of 107 per cent, followed by Saudi Arabia, $40.101 million, compared to $39.794 million with an increase of 1%.
The Export Council indicated that exports to Canada reached $14.591 million, compared to $135 000, with a massive and unprecedented increase of 10,687 per cent, while Egyptian iron and steel exports to America reached $12.916 million, compared to $619,000 with an increase of 1986 per cent.
Portugal declined to 10.340 million dollars, compared to 16.555 million dollars, a 38% decrease. Exports to Kenya amounted to 2.702 million dollars, compared to 4.367 million dollars, a 38% decrease.
