The Official Gazette of Egypt published Decision No. 82 of 2021 regarding the continuation of the export duty imposed on lumps and crushed talc at a rate of 1,200 pounds per ton, talcum “powder” by 500 pounds per ton, and super-fine talc powder (50 microns and less) at a value of 300 pounds per ton, in addition Quartz ore is 150 pounds per ton.
The decision also includes feldspar ore blocks at a value of 200 pounds per ton, crushed and powdered feldspar ore at a value of 100 pounds per ton, raw or trimmed marble blocks preliminary refinement at 400 pounds per ton, rough or trimmed granite blocks preliminary finishing at 400 pounds per ton and sand at 100 pounds per ton. Implementing the decision of the export fee imposed on a number of mining materials, for a period of one year, starting from February 10.
