The Holding Company for Metal Industries, one of the Ministry of Public Business Sector companies, agreed to accept the resignation of the Chairman and members of the Iron and Steel Board of Directors, effective October 6, 2020.
The company’s statement said today that the Board of Directors of the Mineral Holding, headed by Eng. Mohamed El Saadawy, Chairman of the Associations, decided to form a new board of directors until the first extraordinary general assembly of the company is presented, headed by Eng. Farouk Khamis, a Unavailable chairman.
Eng. Ali Abdel Mohsen, Board Member, Eng. Abdel Rahman, Board Member, Accountant Magdy Abdel Rahman, Board Member, Counselor, Reda Farag, Board Member, and Mohamed Omar, Elected Member, Staff Representative.
It has also been decided to assign Eng. Ali Abdel Mohsen the position of Managing Director on a temporary basis.
It is noteworthy that the general assembly will be called to consider dividing the company into two companies, which the workers see as the first step in liquidating the company, which prompted its board to resign.
