The President of Algeria, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on December 13, that phosphate mine in Tebessa and the iron mine in Ghar Djebilet in Tindouf represent two strategic projects for the future of Algeria.
Standing at the Phosphate Mines Company pavilion on the inauguration of the 30th edition of the Algerian Production Exhibition at the Exhibition Palace in Pin Maritimes (Algiers), President Tebboune said that Algeria will invest in phosphate, “which is a very important product due to the fluctuations that the international market is experiencing in this field”.
In this regard, he explained, saying, this project is a battle, and that “we must raise this challenge, especially since we have all the competencies and qualifications necessary for that.”
The President of the Republic added that Algeria “registers annually the graduation of about 250,000 university students, which means that we do not have the right to remain at the same level, but rather we must progress for the better.”
Concerning the iron mine of Ghar Djebilet, President Tebboune stressed the need to “raise production levels as soon as possible” while accelerating the completion of the railway in the region.
